Rockstar Metal Mulisha FMX rider Jeremy Lusk passed away early on February 10th from severe head injuries suffered from a horrific crash at an event in Costa Rica. On the evening of February 7th Lusk under-rotated a Hart Attack back flip and landed head first on the track. While fighting through the injuries he survived the initial surgery but his conditioned worsened throughout the day; he passed away Monday night with his family and close friends by his side.
Lusk is most recognized for winning the FMX Gold medal at Summer X Games 2008. He also took home the X Games Silver medal in Best Trick for landing the double grab Hart Attack back flip - it was the first time he ever attempted the trick in competition. At the 2008 Moto X World Championship Lusk scored a Bronze helmet and in the 2008 X Games Mexico Lusk won both FMX and Best Trick. Most recently Lusk was named as the 2008 Transworld Motocross Rider of the year.
Jeremy Lusk was 24 years old and married to his high-school sweetheart, Lauren. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Jeremy and his family. Lusk was a very important part of the Rockstar team and we will all miss him dearly. We are all proud to have known him. RIP Jeremy Lusk.
